  • AMC1301 High-precision analog voltage/current signal isolation module 200KHz bandwidth ±5V±5A/200KHz isolation
  • Description
Parameters
►Equipped with an on-board SEPIC DC-DC converter, it supports a wide range of power supply voltages (3.0V – 9V DC).
►The minimum isolation voltage between channels is 2500Vdc, and the minimum input-output isolation voltage is also 2500Vdc.
►The typical value of the output offset voltage is 4.8mV.
►±5A to 0-5V or ±5V to 0-5V (Gain=0.3979).
►External input reference level, allowing for the adjustment of reference level for different acquisition systems.
►Supports the acquisition of both forward and reverse current/voltage signals.
►The typical value of simulated bandwidth is 200KHz.
FAQ
Question: How to configure the STM32 internal ADC for collecting positive and negative currents?
Answer:
Method 1: Please provide a 1.65V reference level for the "VREF" interface, or adjust the reference voltage divider resistor so that VREF is 1/2 of the power supply voltage, in order to obtain the maximum positive and negative linear regions (see the module manual for details). Method 2: Change U2 to a 3.3V LDO (default is 5V LDO).
1. Relationship between output signal and current: With AMC1301 Gain set to 8.2, we have OUT = Rx * 8.2 * 1.0 = 8.2Rx (V)
2. Current measurement range: ±250mV/Rx; with a standard 50mR sampling resistor, the current measurement range is 5A
3. The on-board differential amplifier composed of AD8605 provides a 2.5V reference, meaning the output signal swings bidirectionally with 2.5V as the midpoint. When interfacing with a 3.3V system, a 1.65V reference voltage can be provided to the REF pin or the on-board voltage divider resistor R5 can be changed to 0.493*R4.
4. Output offset: The typical input offset voltage of AMC1301 is ±0.2mV. Without considering the offset voltage of the differential amplifier, the typical output offset voltage is 1.64mV.
