  • Description
Product information:
This is the Feather M4 Express equipped with ATSAMD51 that you have been eagerly anticipating. It is powered by our favorite new chip ATSAMD51J19- with 120MHz Cortex M4 floating point support, 512KB flash memory, and 192KB RAM. With a large number of supported peripheral devices, this is definitely your favorite new chipset.
The most exciting part of Feather M4 is that although you can use it with Arduino IDE - and it's very fast to do so - we offer it on the board along with CircuitPython. When inserted, it will appear as a very small disk drive with main. py. Use your favorite text editor to edit main.exe and build projects using the most popular programming language Python. No installation required, no IDE or compiler needed, so you can use it on any computer, even on a ChromeBook or computer where software installation is not possible. After completion, unplug Feather and your code will follow you.
The Feather M4 Express uses the remaining extra space to add Mini NeoPixel, 2 MB SPI flash, and a small amount of prototype space. You can use SPI Flash storage like a very small hard drive. When used in Circuit Python, 2 MB of flash memory serves as the storage for all scripts, libraries, and files. When used in Arduino, you can read/write files to it, such as a small data logger or SD card, and then use our helper program to access the files via USB.
Easy to reprogram: Feather M4 comes pre installed with UF2 bootloader, which looks like a USB storage key. Simply drag the firmware onto the program without the need for special tools or drivers! It can be used to load Circuit Python or Arduino IDE (compatible with bossa)
Equipped with UF2 USB bootloader, fully assembled and tested.
Excluding Lipoly batteries and USB cables
